Preventing Invasion

There are many ways that you can prevent invasion. Here are some ways that you can help.

• Before adding a new plant to your garden, make sure it is not an invasive species by researching online and in books. 
• Think carefully before getting an exotic pet.
• Don’t pick up invasive hitchhikers when going hiking or camping. They can spread.
• You can join a committee or a group to help remove invasive species.
• Learn more about invasive species by visiting local zoos and nature centers. They can teach you a lot!
• Check out some books about invasive species at your local library.
• Look at some organizations online that help with invasive species. 
• Get involved! Take action!
